Bookstores are just...awesome. Sometimes I buy a book, sometimes I don't, but it's so much fun just to go and look around!
My dad took me and my siblings to Barnes and Noble today. (Y'know, we really need to stop shopping on Sundays...) I SAW DOCTOR WHO BOOKS!!!!!! But I decided to buy Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit: Siege, which is what I came for. The Doctor Who stuff was tempting, though.
I'll let myself read Siege when I finish week 6 of my school. When I was in the science fiction section, I overheard a conversation. (I guess it's true that when Star Wars fans hear the words "Star Wars," you immediately have their attention.) The guy talking didn't seem to like Star Wars very much. Also at Barnes and Noble, there was a girl who was wearing an epic Superman shirt. It was blue--Superman blue--with the Superman symbol on it. IT WAS AMAZING. Again, at Barnes and Noble, I saw FOUR SHELVES, four up-and-down sections of bookcases, branded with "Teen Paranormal Romance." Pardon, one shelf was "New Teen Paranormal Romance."
...what is our literary society coming to? *shudders*
I love walking into bookstores. They are gigantic rooms, filled with one of the best scents in the world--that of a book. A bookstore is a portal to endless worlds. Some are dangerous and must be avoided, but others of these paper-enclosed-worlds hold beautiful adventures worthy of any reader. A wealth of information, on subjects from the Taj Mahal to geometry to American literature of the colonial period, is disguised as an unassuming book. Other books hold nothing, preparing to be filled with the thoughts of the owner. Some books are naught but pictures; others are board books for a child's hands. If one is looking for excitement, adventure, information, or even something to busy the chilrden with, a trip to the bookstore is recommended.
I know, I know, libraries are the free bookstore, but I that wasn't my topic! :P

I have a billion trillion million things to say and rant about and I am SO excited I can post again!!!!!!!! I hope I remember everything. I possibly probably definitely won't.
I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!
YES ABLE TO POST AGAIN!!!!!!
*acts ridiculously happy*
Short explanation: My computer-program-won't-let-you-see-bad-stuff and the various computers of my house have an...uh...interesting relationship. There'd be blank white where my blog editing stuffs were supposed to be. Or something like that. But, obviously, now it's fixed so I can blog again!!!!!
Well. Let's see...what to say what to say. Oh! I'm behind on school. I'm supposed to be finishing up week 5 but I'm still on week 4. I've finished week 4 for English, have 2 days of Government left to finish, a full five days of Religion, and 3 days of Literature. And then I'll be done with week 4. So, needless to say, it's gonna be a busy weekend. I hate busy weekends.
I went to my first college class today. Dun dun DUUUUUUN. It was pretty scary at first, waiting until the class would start. And I'm so tiny and there are so many people... but once I got into the classroom I felt better. And the teacher is really nice.
Ta-da!!!!!!!! Don't worry, that's not the finished drawing. It's from the Star Wars The Clone Wars TV show...but that's all I'm telling you! You'll have to guess. I will show you some pics (well, maybe scans) of my progress as the picture moves towars completion, so if you can't guess now you might be able to guess later.
I can finally post again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did a scene recreation contest on Lego.com, and the winner would get a prize of a picture drawn by yours truly of the scene they recreated. They would get to choose if they wanted me to draw it in "normal" or Lego form. The winner was HH (that's what I usually call him anyway) and he wanted the drawing to be Lego form. The scene he recreated was...well, why don't I show the drawing? Maybe you can guess what scene it is.

My fabulous friend Staples is working on an AWESOME book, and she's nearly at a full-length novel!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!
I've been watching Doctor Who lately...more on that later. I haven't watched it recently lately though...I watched a few episodes on...Sunday, I think.
I have my brother Grylls birthday present now! Actually, I pre-ordered it. Am I the only person that gets presents WAY ahead of time? I already have Dexter's Christmas present. Just have to wrap it. It's an Avengers t-shirt that glows in the dark. It is epic. Wish I had one. But I got a Captain America's shield shirt. It goes so nice with my earrings. Y'know, when I got those earrings, I was thinking (I actually might have said it out loud) something like, "Wow, these earrings are perfect for the Captain America shirt I have yet to get." And now I have the shirt!!!!! YAY! I'm a happy person. :P
Well, that was a short update on my life in general.

London 2012 Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was very cool. I started watching it during the Shakspeare part.
I couldn't help but think of the One Ring...y'know:
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.**
Or something like that. It's not like I'm the only one to think that--there are plenty more Lord of the Rings fans out there, right?
Erm...moving on.
Of course, one can't forget the little kids on the hospital beds!
And then there were nightmares. Whether all the kids supposed to be having them or just one little girl, I am unclear. But there were nightmares.
And then the ever-fantastic/fabulous/amazing Mary Poppins came! No nightmare can stick around her for long!
Read the books. Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers is the first one.
Anyway, somewhere along there the opening ceremony slipped into the Digital Age.* There was a kid with a Nintendo:
And dancing. There was dancing. Alot of dancing. It was rather strange.
Yup. Dancing. And it wasn't just during the Digital Age.* The men in top hats danced...
The children danced...
The nurses danced...
And I don't even know who these people are supposed to be, but look, they're dancing!
Moving on. The music was very "thumpy."*
Now, I can't remember exactly where this stuff came in, but among the many epic things that happened in the opening ceremony, there was the enterence of the queen.
Some enterence, huh?
And then the lighting of the Olympic torch...wow. I mean, just...wow.
This post is getting pretty long, so I'm going to stop here.
Peace.
*The channel I was watching (NBC) narrated the ceremony. That's where I get the "ages" thing (and the names of the different ages) from. They also referred to the music as "thumpy."

Loki and Thrawn are Related!
Loki is the antagonist in both Thor and The Avengers. Both films are Marvel. Currently, Thor is streaming on Netflix and The Avengers may or may not be still in theaters. Loki is a Frost Giant who was adopted by the Asgardian king and queen, Odin and Frigga. Loki is referred to as the god of mischief and lies. Though normally he looks Asgardian (and the Asgardians look human) in certain circumstances (I believe it's touching something that came from the Frost Giant homeland of Jotunhiem) Loki returns to his Frost Giant coloring.
Thrawn, also known as Mitth'raw'nuruodo, is a character invented by Timothy Zahn. He is of the Chiss species, and serves as the antagonist in many of Zahn's Star Wars works. Thrawn is a brilliant military strategist and is rather eccentric (and very cool) in that he predicts his enemies moves through studying art: the art of their species and the art the opponent in question prefers.
Now for some pictures of Thrawn:
And now for some pictures of Loki:
And here is where you say: what's the big deal? They're both antagonists, and they both have black hair. So?
The big deal is, Loki looks like an Asgardian in the pictures I've shown you so far. Want to know what a Frost Giant looks like?
Blue skin. Red eyes. And black hair.
And yes, Thrawn looks like a normal Chiss. Here are some pictures of other Chiss if you don't believe me.
So, let's recap. Both Thrawn and Loki (in their normal forms) have blue skin, red eyes, black hair, and are antagonists. Another thing to consider is that both could be deemed rather manipulative.
See, they're related!
